Industrial Placement Student

Sharp Corporation is a world market leader in display technology, from LCDs to flexible OLED. Sharp Laboratories of Europe (SLE) (www.sle.sharp.co.uk) is an integral part of the Sharp Corporation with an excellent track record of inventing and prototyping new technologies for consumer displays. SLE has been offering industrial placements to students since 1993.


SLE are currently looking to recruit two students for 12-month industrial placement positions to develop novel display technology. These positions may involve fabrication and characterisation of novel devices for use in flat panel displays (LCD, OLED and QLED), test and measurement of optical components and prototype displays, optical modelling/simulation, development of touch panels and image data processing.
