SLE wins institute of physics award
The Institute of Physics Awards, held on 5th November 2015 at the Lancaster Hotel (London), aims to identify and honour physicists who are making remarkable contributions and also aims to encourage younger members of the community to greater success in the future.
On 5th November 2015, SLE was one of 7 companies to receive an award from the Institute of Physics. The Best Practice in Professional Development Award recognises and celebrates employers who can demonstrate excellence in the way that they train and develop staff and promote work-life balance.
SLE’s Dr. Valerie Berryman-Bousquet, Manager of System Devices & Modules submitted the proposal and was honoured to receive the award on behalf of SLE from Professor Roy Sambles, chairman of the Institute of Physics.
SLE’s Managing Director, Dr. Ian Thompson said, “It is excellent that SLE has won such a prestigious award. Professional Development and staff retention are very important and we are always looking for ways we can further improve.”
SLE also encourages our own physicists to become member of the IOP.
