View Angle Restriction Technology
Sometimes you need a display with a wide viewing angle so that you can share your images with friends. Sometimes you need a display that only you can see, because you have confidential information to view.
View angle restriction, a technology developed in close collaboration with colleagues in Sharp Japan, gives you the ability to switch between wide and narrow viewing angle. With this technology, users can switch an LCD screen instantly between a public (wide viewing angle range) and a private (narrow viewing angle range) mode.
In the private mode, Sharp's proprietary technology results in a perfect central view of the display but an unreadable view from the side. The obscuring affect can be switched off electronically resulting in the normal superior performance of Sharp LCDs.
