3D Consortium
Sharp instigated the formation of a global consortium of companies, each with an interest in creating a completely new 3D industry. The five steering members of the Consortium are Itochu Corporation, NTT DATA Corporation, Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd., Sharp Corporation and Sony Corporation. See the press release here.
In addition to the five steering members, the 3D Consortium includes a number of hardware manufacturers, software vendors, content vendors and providers, system integrators, video production houses, broadcasters and academic organisations.
