Veil View Displays
Sometimes you want your friends standing next to you to be able to see and enjoy the photos on your mobile phone. At another time, you may prefer it if the stranger sitting next to you on the train can not read the text message you’ve just received. Using our research skills in software image processing and optical design, our scientists and engineers at Sharp Laboratories of Europe have created a display that allows you to switch from a shared-viewing to a veiled, privacy, screen mode with the simple press-of-a-button.
Working with colleagues in Japan we have launched our Veil View technology into a wide range of mobile phones on sale in Asia.
